Ron Williams is the CEO and co-founder of SnapGoods.com, a social commerce platform that allows people to easily and safely share or rent consumer goods. For existing communities, it’s a powerful way to increase engagement and help people connect offline. For consumers, it’s a great way sample products before making a commitment to buy or access items to use and then give back.
Prior to founding Snapgoods, Ron was a strategy and product innovation consultant for small businesses and startups. He also founded and ran a boutique test preparation service. His corporate experience includes strategic planning at Scholastic, Inc. and investment banking in the Leveraged Finance Group at Merrill Lynch. Ron holds a bachelor of arts degree from Harvard University and is a graduate of New York City’s Stuyvesant High School.
Ron is an active mentor and he sits on the junior board of the Beginning With Children’s Foundation. He also organizes participation in distance and endurance events to raise funding and awareness for organizations like the Boys Club of New York. An avid snowboarder and a motorcycle enthusiast, Ron loves action sports.
